Alan Parson Project, done correctly. Are those helicopters? is this Vietnam or Afghanistan? Or is it the mushrooms? A statement on the times we live in, paranoia, #metoo, Trump, and the the slow collapse of civilization under technological tyranny.
lyrics
Don't think sorry's easily said
Don't try turning tables instead
You've taken lots of Chances before
But I'm not gonna give anymore
Don't ask me
That's how it goes
Cause part of me knows what you're thinkin'
Don't say words you're gonna regret
Don't let the fire rush to your head
I've heard the accusation before
And I ain't gonna take any more
Believe me
The sun in your Eyes made some of the lies worth believing
I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you
I can read your mind
I am the maker of rules
Dealing with fools
I can cheat you blind
And I don't need to see any more
To know that
I can read your mind, I can read your mind
Don't leave false illusions behind
Don't cry cause I ain't changing my mind
So find another fool like before
Cause I ain't gonna live anymore believing
Some of the lies while all of the signs are deceiving
I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you I can read your mind
I am the maker of rules
Dealing with fools
I can cheat you blind
And I don't need to see any more
To know that
I can read your mind, I can read your mind

Majestic, melancholic, melodic - My Bloody Valentine meets Band Of Gypsys. Judicious use of samples (Alan Watts. JFK, Timothy Leary) Impudent use of quiet/loud - be careful with those headphones, Eugene! kooper66

"I have to ask I'm sorry. Are you happy?" followed by such a beautiful solo section! with dual leads. 🤯 So glad to have come across Bright Curse. Ripple does not disappoint! Thank you! monolith85
This searing, four-track split from Bog Wizard (Michigan) and Dust Lord (Colorado) pairs stoner rock riffs with hard fantasy themes. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 10, 2021

Solid and consistent rock album. However, there are not enough defining moments or variations in style (both vocally and instrumentally) to sustain my interest for long. I struggle to recognize the song I’m listening to because they all sound so much alike. That being said, though, the band does what they do well. I just wish there was a bit more creativity. The guitar solo in Crying of the Wolves is pretty cool. 6/10. Alrihkh
